About Me
Hi, my name is Greg Smith, I’m dyslexic and I have dealt with being dyslexic forever, Infants, Junior and my hellish High schooldays, all were hard, really hard. I found my time at those establishments, frustrating and it has proved not to be “the happiest days of my life” as promised.
I know I would have more academic qualifications if it was not for my huge challenge to be able to write down accurately what I have learnt and what I want to say. My handwriting would be more legible and therefore, make more sense for me to be able to learn what I had written.
However, this is where it all changes, I have decided I’m not going to camouflage my dyslexia anymore. I will embrace my dyslexia and turn my hand to support and help others come to terms with this utterly frustrating issue.
I have created a platform called Dyslexics World, whereby I interview others who have had to deal with dyslexia but it has not held them back. There are many individuals who we all know or have heard of who have managed a successful career and continue to thrive by sheer determination to succeed and overcome their dyslexia.
I have, through my determination and tenacity learnt to deal with some elements of my dyslexia. It still hampers my ability to be succinct in my responses regarding the written word. However, where it has proved an asset is in my ability to be creative and generate innovative ideas, that have supported companies I have worked for to date. I want to share those ideas with others finding it challenging to provide solutions for their companies.
So, share with me those issues and together, within our parameters, we will generate some solutions to try.
